Agufy was built by people who ran short-term rentals and hit the same wall most operators hit: disconnected tools, manual cleaning schedules, guest messages across three apps, and a growing stack of legal obligations that no single platform handled correctly.
We built the tool we needed. When it became clear that operators everywhere had the same problem, we turned it into a platform.
The core of Agufy — cleaning coordination, AI guest messaging, online check-in, payment collection — was designed for operators anywhere, from day one. The platform runs in seven languages and integrates with the channel managers operators already use: Beds24, Lodgify, Smoobu, and others.
Compliance is the one area where we went deep in a specific market first.
Spain has some of the most demanding compliance requirements for short-term rentals in Europe: mandatory police registration varying by region, certified invoicing under VeriFactu, and tourist tax that differs by municipality. Most global platforms treat these as edge cases. We built for them natively.
Starting with a hard compliance market was a deliberate choice. The architecture that handles Spanish requirements correctly scales to any jurisdiction — it's not a bolt-on, it's how the system works.
Compliance modules for additional markets are on the roadmap as we expand.
Agufy is a registered company based in Catalonia, Spain. We're a small, deliberate team — not a venture-backed startup optimising for growth metrics, but a company building infrastructure that operators can rely on for the long term.
We're selectively building integrations with platforms that share an operator-first approach. If your product touches STR operators and there's a genuine case for working together, we'd like to hear from you.
